Social Media Advocates play a huge role in helping us spread the word about the work we do.
We share stories, pictures, quotes and relevant content on our social media channels that include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, our blog. If you have any of those social media accounts, you can become a social media advocate, no special knowledge or social media prowess required! To sign up click here
Host a Friend-raiser
Friend-raisers are excellent ways to introduce your friends to the issues surrounding sex work and human trafficking as well as our unique approach to these issues. It’s also a great excuse to have a party! Our friend-raisers are usually between 1-3 hours, with a 20 minute presentation about sex work and Serenity’s Steps.
There are many ways to get started building authentic relationships with the women in our community. From our call center to our pop-up events, we need caring individuals to take the first steps towards potentially new friends.
SMART Recovery Facilitator
SMART Recovery is an addiction recovery support group that helps people recover from all types of addiction and addictive behaviors, including: drug abuse, drug addiction, substance abuse, alcohol abuse, gambling addiction, cocaine addiction, prescription drug abuse, sexual addiction, and problem addiction to other substances and activities. Ideally, we would love to have group for everyday of the week.
Meet one-on-one with our participants during our weekly GED classes. GED tutor certification not required, just a love and patience for teaching.
Put those administrative skills to use helping in our offices! Assist with donor development, accounting, meeting prep, errands, and all the other things that come up that could use an extra set of helping hands.
Meet monthly to pray for our participants and Serenity’s Steps. Get weekly emails with prayer requests.
It is our desire to see the community of Atlanta and our larger global community educated and motivated to take the stories they hear about people being sexually exploited and do something about the problem! There are several ways you can use your talents to help us accomplish that mission!
· Write on your personal blog about the work we’re doing at That Grace Restored – reach out to us about doing an interview!
· Submit an article about this issue and our organization to local and national publications – get the word out on a larger scale!
· Are you a photographer or videographer? Donate a session and editing to That Grace Restored for use in our media and use your finished product to tell our story through your eyes!
